Position Overview This is a skilled position as a Construction Project Manager involving assisting and management as directed by Senior Project Managers and/or Superintendents. This position is onsite.

Key Responsibilities (Essential Duties and Functions)

Actively participate in acquisition and maintenance of permits, bonding and insurance including UDOT, City, Vehicle, SWPPP, etc.

Administer One Drive at the direction of the Estimating and Operations Managers with relevant project information including phase lists and CO work orders. Add Phases at the request of the Superintendents. Distribute project documents to field.

Attend pre-construction, project hand-off, cost reviews, and project job progress meetings.

Work with Traffic Control department to prepare traffic control plans and pull permits.

Verify aggregate quantity and coding daily.

Process change orders and T&M work tickets as needed by the Project Managers.

Assist with purchase orders, submittals, and project supplier quotes.

Assist estimating team with RFI logs, change orders, and submittals.

Adhere to and be a champion for company safety programs.

Ensure compliance with all company and governmental regulations.

Provide training certifications to customers as requested.

Measure and record quantities for pay.

Additional Responsibilities (As Needed & Directed By Operations Manager)

Estimate and manage projects assigned by the Operations or Estimating Manager.

Attend Pre Bid meetings.

Identify, assist, and maintain the prequalification database and applications, by keeping past project lists and resumes up to date, relevant to business unit.

Perform other duties as assigned by Operations, Estimating and/or General Manager.

Education/Experience

Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or other related field. 0 - 5 years construction experience is preferred; or an equivalent of education and experience will be accepted.

Must have 3 - 5 years experience working on Federal Highway projects.

Work Requirements

Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.

Ability to write correspondence.

Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.

Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.

Ability to compute, rate, ratio, percent, and graph interpretations.

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed, but uninvolved written or oral instructions.

To perform this job successfully, an individual should be able to type and use keyboards accurately and have knowledge of scheduling, Excel, and database software.
