Job Description EBAD is seeking a Product Engineer with experience in a manufacturing environment. The Product Engineer will evaluate designs for manufacturability and lead the development of new products into production, with expertise in user requirements, mechanical design, tooling, and manufacturing cell layout.

Responsibilities

Develop and maintain manufacturing documentation (instructions, routings, process specs, tooling, testing methods).

Serve as the main technical liaison between customer and EBAD during transition from proposal to production.

Investigate process failures and implement corrective actions.

Coordinate with other departments to ensure production viability of new designs and to obtain necessary documentation approval.

Interface with production personnel such as operators, quality inspectors, and shop floor supervisors.

Implement Lean methodologies (standard work, tooling, material presentation, process improvements).

Develop automated test fixtures and assembly tools.

Design manufacturing cell layouts, including tooling, machinery, and equipment.

Create Process Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (PFMEA).

Conduct technical compliance and risk assessments.

Create and maintain standard work procedures for manufacturing cells.

Track status to ensure completion of operation milestones and tasks for production programs.

Execute logistical tasks supporting program milestones (material requisitions, availability checks, scheduling, production tracking).

Requirements

BS/MS in mechanical or manufacturing engineering (or related discipline).

Experience with space‑vehicle mechanisms and systems.

Proficient in CAD, 3‑D modeling, assembly creation, drawings, and GD&T.

Design of tooling and fixtures.

Design for Manufacturing methods and techniques.

Strong interpersonal and leadership skills with a demonstrated ability to lead programs/projects.

Formal problem analysis and resolution experience.

Project management skills for program planning and execution.

Experience working with aerospace products and processes.

Experience with Continuous Improvement and Lean Manufacturing practices.

Experience with ERP/MRP systems.

Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and MS Project.
