Job Overview The Production Supervisor coordinates production and supervises and develops Production personnel. In compliance with internal standards and procedures, the Production Supervisor implements and documents production improvement solutions. Reports to Production and Warehouse Operations Manager. Located in Newark, CA.

Primary Job Responsibilities

Coordinate production process and activities:

Plan and coordinate workload for assigned Production groups

Execute Production Master Plan

Identify limits to production and guide teams to continuously improve processes; identify and resolve bottlenecks in the production process

Delegate assignments in the form of tasks and goals and follow established processes to meet the goals of the unit

Coordinate production jobs with aligned groups in Warehouse and Repair Center; execute budgets, develop work and production schedules

Monitor workstation inputs and outputs, ensuring timely completion of scheduled tasks

Manage controllable operating expenditure e.g., scrap, consumables

Supervise the personnel of the assigned Production groups:

Assess and manage time and workload, direct and deploy subordinates to perform assigned tasks based on process changes and customer requirements; approve overtime schedules and working hours

Train new hires, cross‑train existing employees: develop work instructions, conduct on‑job and other types of training

Perform headcount reviews, overtime analysis and plan for / manage temporary workforce

Develop and maintain performance metrics and manage performance of the Production personnel, review employees’ performance and recommend employee compensation and disciplinary actions as necessary

Interpret and enforce policies and procedures related to the functional area through clear instructions, tasks and guidance

Select Production personnel according to the workforce needs and plan, actively participate in the interviewing and hiring process and decision‑making

Develop and maintain mandatory training records

Support improvement of Production process and system:

Develop, control, monitor, and document key production processes and tools: set‑up, wave solder, de‑panel, rework, touch up, product testing and pack‑out, quality inspection, box build assembly and others and continuous process improvements

Create and maintain standard templates for process documents

Provide input into annual production objectives and plans

Update and maintain online databases, reports, worksheets, and studies

Provide support and share expertise cross‑functionally:

Provide data analysis of existing production issues and propose solutions

Plan and execute corrective actions with all stakeholders, evaluate and share results

Represent the assigned Production group in cross‑functional planning, cooperation and problem solving

Interpret customer requirements and internal guidelines to team members, assist them with acquiring knowledge and putting in practice

Key Requirements and Qualifications

BS Degree or equivalent experience.

Minimum 5 years of related production supervisory experience in CM EMS industry.

Minimum 3 years of working experience in SMT manufacturing

Salary Range:

80K - 95K / Year
