Responsibilities

Maintain and repair heavy equipment, cranes, diesel engines, on-highway trucks and buses, marine and industrial equipment as assigned. Travel as required, operating and maintaining a company vehicle in compliance with company and DOT policies. Diagnose, repair, tear down, rebuild, or replace engines and other major components. Apply advanced knowledge of diesel engines and hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical, electronic systems. Use computer skills and industry software to diagnose and document work. Read and write in English; communicate repair details clearly in service notes for work orders. Prepare customer quotes and deliver best-in-class customer service; mentor less tenured mechanics. Operate heavy equipment and perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications

5+ years of experience in the heavy equipment repair industry. Ability to travel and operate a company vehicle in compliance with policies. Advanced diagnostic and repair experience with heavy equipment (construction, mining, material handling, paving, milling, etc.). Ability to repair, tear down, rebuild, or replace engines and other major components. Advanced knowledge of diesel engines and hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical, electronic systems. Strong computer skills including Microsoft products and industry software. Ability to read and write English; clear service notes for work orders. Ability to convey repair details in quotes and deliver customer service. Mentor colleagues and support branch operations. Operation of heavy equipment. Other duties as assigned. Work Qualifications

Physical requirements: sitting, standing, climbing, walking, lifting, pulling and/or pushing; working at heights; carrying, grasping, reaching, stooping, bending, and crouching. Must be able to lift/carry 50 pounds. Hand/eye coordination and motor skills; ability to work overtime as needed.
