Responsibilities
Adhere to safety standards Provide diagnostics and repair services on DDC, Direct Digital Control, systems and HVAC equipment as needed Strong computer skills with working knowledge of BAS, Building Automation systems (Trane and Honeywell) Have an in-depth knowledge of HVAC equipment, heating, air conditioning, refrigeration Troubleshoot DDC plant and field controllers using PC and meters Understand HVAC standards and practices consistent with industry requirements Have a good working knowledge of the design, operation and maintenance of a wide range of commercial HVAC equipment Participate in rotating after-hours controls-related on-call Work with large commercial package equipment, chillers, water-cooled systems Provide superior customer service Work unsupervised to complete projects in a safe and proficient manner Lift up to 50 lbs, stand, bend, and kneel when needed Climb ladders and work from scissor lifts at heights Diagnose energized equipment with proper arc flash safety gear Provide own hand tools and meters; PC and major tools and equipment provided Hold universal refrigerant certification Valid Driver’s License; able to pass drug test and background check Requires after hours emergency and service repair responsibilities Qualifications
Minimum 2+ years combined experience within Commercial Service/Controls Physical Requirements And Work Environment
All candidates should be reasonably physically fit and capable of lifting up to 50 lbs and moving equipment on job sites Ability to stand, bend, and kneel; comfortable climbing ladders and working from scissor lifts at heights All Control Service Technicians typically load and unload materials for projects and move these materials into place at the job site Safe operation of hammer-type drills and similar tools Environmental conditions may range from outdoors to indoors Notice to Prospective Employees
