Position Summary We are looking to add an Electrical Estimator to the growing team in Orlando, FL. This onsite / in‑office position will support the growth and profitability of the company by preparing accurate, competitive estimates for electrical construction and service projects. The Electrical Estimator will review project plans and specifications, determine material and labor requirements, and collaborate closely with project managers, engineers, and clients to ensure precise and timely bid submissions.
Key Responsibilities
Analyze blueprints, drawings, and project specifications to prepare detailed and accurate electrical cost estimates.
Develop quantity takeoffs and pricing for materials, equipment, and labor.
Collaborate with project managers and field teams to ensure understanding of project scope and bid details.
Solicit and evaluate vendor and subcontractor quotes to ensure competitive pricing and adherence to project requirements.
Prepare bid proposals and supporting documentation in alignment with company standards and deadlines.
Identify value engineering opportunities and recommend cost‑saving alternatives.
Maintain organized records of bids, revisions, and cost data for future reference.
Support project handoff and pre‑construction meetings by reviewing estimate details with operations teams.
Stay current with industry trends, pricing changes, and code requirements.
Qualifications
Minimum 3–5 years of electrical estimating experience in residential, commercial, or multi‑family projects.
Strong knowledge of electrical systems, construction methods, and the National Electrical Code (NEC).
Proficiency with estimating software such as EBM, Planswift, or similar, Bluebeam, and Microsoft Office Suite.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical documents.
Strong mathematical, analytical, and organizational skills with excellent attention to detail.
Effective communication and negotiation skills for working with vendors, clients, and team members.
Florida Electrical Contractor or Journeyman experience preferred (not required).
