mix; clear expectations and real runway. Role Summary Own the estimate. Run
complete takeoffs, hard bids, and detailed budgets , drive vendor pricing, and deliver
accurate, competitive proposals
that protect margin. Lead estimate→operations handoffs and value-engineer scopes that win and build. Responsibilities
Takeoffs & Budgets:
Detailed material/labor takeoffs; precise job-cost builds; VE alternates. Bids & Proposals:
RFQs, quote leveling, scope/qualifiers/exclusions; on-time submissions. Plan/Spec Scrubs:
Identify gaps, risks, and cost impacts before numbers go out. Vendor/GC Relations:
Negotiate distributor/sub pricing; maintain current market pricing. Cost Control/Data:
Maintain unit pricing and databases; track commodity/labor trends with Purchasing. Handoff & Support:
Lead turnover to field; support buyout, CO pricing, clarifications. Compliance/Docs:
Tight documentation; align with
NEC
and safety standards; site visits as needed. Must-Have Qualifications
3+ years
electrical estimating (multifamily/commercial/residential). Working knowledge of the
NEC ; read one-lines/risers/plans. Tools:
Bluebeam ,
PlanSwift
(or similar), plus one of
Accubid/ConEst/McCormick/EBM . Strong scope/proposal writing; RFI & change pricing chops. Solid
Excel/MS 365 ; organized, deadline-reliable. Valid driver’s license. Nice to Have
3+ years
electrical supervisory or PM experience. BS in
EE/CM/Business
(or equivalent). Experience mentoring junior estimators; leading VE. Benefits
