Location & Schedule Location: Multiple positions available in the Upper Midwest Region (Minneapolis, MN; Kansas City, MO; Des Moines, IA; Denver, CO; Omaha, NE; West Fargo, ND)
Schedule: Monday - Friday 7:30 AM - 4:30 PM
Compensation & Benefits Pay Range: Starting pay will range between $25.00 - $35.00 per hour depending on qualifications and experience. This is a full-time, hourly position. $3,000 Sign On Bonus.

Job Overview The Field Service Technician for Ingersoll Rand's Compression Systems and Services Division serves customers by installing, troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining all makes of rotary screw and reciprocating and/or Centac and ECC air compressors, along with additional compressed air system components. You will use precision measuring tools for diagnostic troubleshooting of compressed air equipment and must have knowledge of all operations and parts manuals for related equipment.
Responsibilities
Perform preventative maintenance on Ingersoll Rand compressed air equipment and address customer concerns while interacting with customers to resolve issues.
Collaborate with Service Coordinator on ordering and gathering parts and supplies for installations and repairs.
Assist and train apprentices and Field Service Technicians.
Communicate effectively with customers and co-workers, verbally and in writing.
Provide technical assistance on pre-commissioning, start-ups, installations, and repairs of compressed air systems.
Operate with limited guidance from the Master Technician to ensure equipment meets customer requirements.
Promote IR products and services, including Preventative Maintenance, Diagnostics, Audits, and Leak Detection.
Requirements
2+ years of experience troubleshooting industrial/commercial mechanical systems.
Valid driver’s license for a minimum of 12 months, with no major or frequent traffic violations including DUI in the past 5 years.
On-call availability required for service technicians (not during first 90 days to acclimate). On-call weeks may occur every 4 weeks or more, as determined by the hiring manager.
Highly physical role requiring regular use of hands, walking, stooping, kneeling, and lifting/moving weight in line with safety policy.
High School Diploma or equivalent required.
Core Competencies
Ability to read wiring schematics and diagrams for all equipment.
Advanced knowledge of network system installations (IMMC/ASC, X Series Automation).
Basic vibration troubleshooting and air quality understanding (compressor/dryer and air treatment).
Operating knowledge of Microsoft Office; proficiency with handheld devices and networked systems.
Maintains cost-efficient business travel practices.
Preferences
2+ years of industrial air compressor maintenance experience.
Electrical/Electronic Technology or HVAC degree with knowledge of AC/DC circuits, wiring diagrams, motors/controls, PLCs, HVAC electricity, and related certifications (EPA or refrigerant).
Veterans/Active-Duty Military encouraged to apply.
Travel & Work Arrangements
Travel daily within a 3-hour radius of service area.
Occasional travel for training (1-2 times per year, one week each).
Company vehicle and fuel card provided.
