We’re seeking a Maintenance Mechanic ready to put your skills to work on projects that matter and build a career with a company that’s expanding across North America.
Responsibilities
Diagnosing and troubleshooting equipment failures; providing repair and maintenance to diesel and gasoline engines; adjusting and repairing ignition, fuel, electrical, hydraulic, and steering systems.
Maintain and repair chassis, frames, and bodies.
Work with hoisting and jacking equipment, power tools, measuring instruments, gauges, and meters.
Lubricate equipment; maintain and repair tires, batteries, brakes, and valves.
Perform shop functions such as maintenance scheduling, spare parts inventory control, and making estimates of material, labor, and equipment requirements.
Maintain an effective system of communication with supervisors and customers.
Maintain a safe and clean work area.
Assist other mechanics as needed.
Have basic computer proficiency and good verbal and written communication skills.
Work effectively in a team atmosphere and quickly learn new tasks.
Work unsupervised while ensuring safety, health, and environmental policies are adhered to; promote a culture of safety.
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Valid driver’s license; Class A or B commercial driver’s license preferred.
Minimum 3 years of experience directly related to heavy equipment diesel engines and transmissions; mechanical school graduate preferred.
Ability to work outdoors in all types of weather conditions.
Willingness to work long, unpredictable hours if required.
Ability to stand for long periods on varied surfaces; to stoop, crawl, and bend at the knees and waist.
Physical capability to lift 100 pounds unassisted.
Additional Requirements
Adhere to all safety protocols and proper use of Amrize‑approved PPE, including respirators. Employees who must wear respirators must be clean‑shaven where the respirator seal meets the face in order to pass fit tests.
