Position Overview We are hiring a
CNC Setup/Operator
to join our growing team. In this role, you will set up and operate
multi-axis CNC lathes
to produce precision components that meet strict quality and safety standards. You’ll work closely with a skilled team of machinists and engineers in a clean, organized, and fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
Set up and operate
multi-axis CNC lathes
to produce high-precision metal parts.
Load, secure, and run part programs according to setup sheets and work instructions.
Read and interpret
blueprints, job orders, and tooling instructions .
Verify part dimensions using
calipers, micrometers, and gauges
(±0.001" tolerance).
Adjust machine controls or tool offsets as needed to maintain quality.
Perform
pressure testing and inspections
per drawings and quality standards.
Conduct
routine maintenance , including coolant checks, cleaning, and TPM duties.
Maintain a safe and clean work area in compliance with
ISO 9001:2015 and AAR M-1003
standards.
Qualifications
2+ years of CNC lathe operation and setup experience.
Working knowledge of
Fanuc
and
Okuma OSP
controls.
Proficient in reading
blueprints and measuring instruments .
Experience machining within
±0.001” tolerances .
Strong attention to detail and ability to follow work instructions.
Safety-conscious and reliable team player.
Preferred Skills
Prior experience with
multi-axis CNC lathes
(Mazak, Okuma, DMG Mori, etc.).
Basic understanding of
CNC programming adjustments
and tooling changes.
Excellent manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination.
Ability to work effectively in a
fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
Physical Requirements
Frequent standing, walking, and use of hands for fine manipulation.
Ability to lift
10–20 lbs frequently
and up to
50 lbs occasionally
(with assistance).
Comfortable working in a
manufacturing environment
with machinery noise and temperature variations.
