Worker Subtype: Regular Time Type: Full time Hours per Week: 40 Department: 500232 Microbiology SMH Work Shift: Day (UR) Range: URC 206 H Compensation Range: $20.99 - $28.34 per hour Responsibilities

Under supervision, exercise advanced knowledge and judgment. Provide technical supervision and serve as shift lead in supervisor’s absence. Perform complex lab tasks, plan projects, and ensure quality control. Maintain detailed records, prepare reports, and assist with protocol development. Lead workflow in absence of supervisor, ensure cleanliness, and coordinate staffing and training. Participate in meetings and recommend process improvements. Sample Management

Process environmental samples, perform cultures, calculations, data entry, and reporting. Manage specimen storage and disposal, troubleshoot samples with healthcare providers, and ensure sample integrity. Clerical and Technical Support

Answer calls, scan requisitions, assist with QA data, and support lab testing processes. Monitor lab conditions, perform QC, and maintain equipment. Requirements

BS in Biology or related field preferred; or Associate’s plus 4-5 years relevant experience. Must have excellent organizational skills, ability to work weekends/holidays, and adhere to safety and institutional policies. Additional Info
