As a Diesel Mechanic, you will assist our foreman by diagnosing and repairing issues with vehicles’ performance and function. As a Diesel Mechanic, you must have an in-depth understanding of all vehicle systems and components. You will also be responsible for maintaining a safe repair shop environment. The ideal candidate is skilled in various diagnostic platforms, a good communicator, works well with others, and is knowledgeable and willing to continue learning. Responsibilities Diagnose and repair vehicles coming into the shop Carry out routine vehicle maintenance tasks such as tire rotations, oil changes, and brake pad replacements Diagnose various manufacturers' medium to heavy-duty trucks & equipment (Mack, Hino, PB, IH, KW, Volvo, Freightliner, Isuzu, Cummins, etc.) Electrical troubleshooting & repair Conduct in-depth vehicle inspections of all systems, including engine, transmission, and brakes (able to complete thorough annual Federal Safety DOT inspections) Maintain a safe and pleasant work environment Qualifications Prior diesel repair or dealership experience Positive attitude
