Machinist

Overview We are currently seeking a skilled Machinist to join our team at our facility in Baltimore, MD. The ideal candidate will have strong manual machining skills and experience working with a variety of heavy equipment repair tasks.

Base pay range $30.00/hr - $40.00/hr

Responsibilities

Utilize manual machining skills to operate a variety of machines including boring mill, cylindrical grinder machine, manual grinder, manual lathe, manual vertical mill, and turning lathe

Perform heavy equipment repair tasks using shop math skills and precision measuring tools such as calipers and micrometers

Operate overhead crane to move materials and equipment as needed

Work with machine brands such as Clausing, Bridgeport, and Supermax to complete machining projects

Qualifications

High School diploma or GED equivalent

Demonstrated experience in manual machining and heavy equipment repair

Proficiency with shop math skills and ability to use calipers and micrometers

Experience working with machine brands such as Clausing, Bridgeport, and Supermax

Ability to operate boring mill, cylindrical grinder machine, manual grinder, manual lathe, manual vertical mill, and turning lathe

Experience operating an overhead crane is a plus
