About The Role As a CBRE Building Engineer, you will maintain and repair building systems—including mechanical, plumbing, electrical, fire safety, and HVAC—while ensuring compliance with safety codes and energy efficiency standards. This role supports preventive maintenance, emergency repairs, and inspections at a 220,000 sq ft Life Science Facility.

Shift: Fri‑Sun, 12‑hour shifts 6:00 AM‑6:00 PM (6‑hour commutes to equal 40‑hour week)

Pay:

Hourly wage plus annual performance bonus and a $2,000 sign‑on bonus.

What You’ll Do

Perform maintenance and repairs to mechanical, plumbing, structural, furniture, fire, life safety, and control systems.

Align with all applicable codes, regulations, and company directives related to building operations and safety.

Maintain an energy management program and ensure all systems operate efficiently.

Assist with implementing a preventive maintenance program and perform emergency repairs as needed.

Ensure safe storage, use, and disposal of hazardous materials; maintain a clean and safe workplace.

Review inspections of building systems to certify operation within design capabilities.

Apply advanced knowledge to solve complex problems, mentor others, and lead by example in line with CBRE RISE values.

What You’ll Need

High School Diploma, GED, or trade school diploma and 4–5 years of related experience. CFC certification preferred.

Ability to lift/carry heavy loads (50 lbs. or more) and meet physical requirements.

Strong judgment, decision‑making skills, and willingness to adopt new perspectives.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams) and experience with CMMS preferred.

Organizational skills and moderate mathematical abilities.
