Radiology Technologist Clinic – Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist, Greensboro. This position is full time with 40 hours per week. Occasional Saturday shifts from 8:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. (8–10 per year). Adheres to hospital and departmental policies and procedures; maintains awareness of changes in policies and procedures. Performs or assists in diagnostic and/or therapeutic procedures in accordance with applicable radiation protection regulations; maintains appropriate education and credentials. Maintains coordination of activities with others to accomplish work objectives. Ensures readiness of emergency equipment and supplies; recognizes and reacts appropriately to potential emergencies. Maintains knowledge of procedures, equipment and systems; ensures availability of supplies and readiness of equipment. Ensures accurate patient records via correct data entry, validation and archival of images. Performs and maintains competency for point-of-care testing as assigned, ensuring compliance with policies and regulations where applicable. Provides instruction, education and consultation to healthcare personnel and patients to promote improved quality of patient care. Provides emergency on-call coverage after normal working hours as required. Provides age/developmentally appropriate care in accordance with guidelines for the age groups served when participating in patient care. Qualifications

Education: Graduate of an approved school of Radiologic Technology. Experience: Minimum six months as a diagnostic Radiologic Technologist preferred; one year experience with patients preferred. Certification & Registration: Registered and certified with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) or registry eligible and must become registered within 12 months of hire; BLS (CPR) certification. Skills: Strong oral and written communication; professional interaction with physicians, nurses and staff; ability to maintain daily schedules; clinical skills for prioritizing patient needs; ability to adapt to workload changes; basic computer skills. Work Environment

Clean work area with exposure to infections, bloodborne pathogens, hazardous anesthetic agents, body fluids and wastes Exposure to radiation, electrical and energy hazards, and various electro-mechanical equipment Possible exposure to odorous chemicals and cleaning agents; risk of injuries from equipment Subject to long, irregular hours and emergency/crisis situations; on-call responsibilities may apply Benefits & Compensation
