The community you’ll be caring for includes opportunities to work at over 150 locations across Central Florida with multiple medical specialties. Responsibilities
The Medical Assistant, under general supervision, provides appropriate care to patients and follows AdventHealth service standards. This includes greeting patients, obtaining clinical information, and collecting financial and demographic information. Assist providers during treatment and examinations and may assist with procedures and medication administration as ordered by the provider. Perform office duties as needed, including verifying insurance, collecting copays, and scheduling necessary appointments. Assist with screenings per physician orders and enter all information accurately. Perform clinical intakes. Aid in minor procedures as necessary per specialty. Ensure practice flow by preparing patient and equipment for treatment. Follow safety processes and policies to ensure proper care is given. Qualifications
Minimum qualifications: 1 year of practical medical assisting experience and one of the medical assistant certifications listed below, OR Graduate of a medical assistant program in lieu of experience. Must be currently certified and maintain certification by one of the following: AAMA CMA – Certified Medical Assistants AMCA CMAC – Clinical Medical Assistant Certification AMT RMA – Registered Medical Assistant NAHP NRCMA – Nationally Registered Certified Medical Assistant NCCT NCMA – National Certified Medical Assistant NHA CCMA – Certified Clinical Medical Assistant ARMA RMA – Registered Medical Assistant Current, valid BLS certification is required Ability to communicate in English Benefits
