Responsibilities The Medical Assistant, under general supervision, provides appropriate care to patients as well as:
Safely and effectively greet patients, obtain clinical, financial, and demographic information.
Assist providers during treatment and examination, and may assist with procedures and medication administration as ordered.
Perform office duties such as verifying insurance, collecting copays, and scheduling appointments.
Key Contributions
Assist with screenings per physician orders and enter all information accurately.
Perform clinical intake according to AHMG policy and procedures.
Assist with minor procedures associated with specialty.
Be available to travel as needed to fulfill staffing needs.
Promote safety and whole care.
Qualifications
High School Graduate or Equivalent (Required)
BCLS (Basic Cardiac Life Support) – Required
Certified Medical Assistant: AMCA, AMT, NCMA, NHA, NRCMA, ARMA (Required)
