Starting Wage for PRODUCTION SUPERVISOR IS $78k - $90k
Starting wage is commensurate with candidate’s qualifications, experience, and relevant skills.
Location: Lancaster manufacturing facility.
Responsibilities
Achieve operational efficiency objectives associated with your business unit’s strategy by optimizing available resources, rigorously applying business processes and establishing an effective communication and leadership system.
Drive optimal management of occupational health and safety, target production sequence and product compliance with quality standards.
Monitor operating parameters while developing action plans to close performance gaps and resolve challenges.
Develop a mobilized and competent team and support their production efforts while nurturing a culture of continuous improvement.
Carry out workforce planning and ensure approval of hours worked.
Coordinate training in support of business objectives.
Engage employees through meaningful interactions, ongoing communications, and a team approach toward meeting production goals.
Carry out monthly OHS audits as well as accident investigations and analysis.
Monitor OHS improvements and adjustments.
Address target shortfalls (KPIs) and coordinate applicable action plans.
Plan and coordinate continuous improvement activities.
Support teams in problem solving.
Support your scheduler in establishing the optimal sequence for production.
Relevant Experience & Strengths
Extensive experience in supervision and the manufacturing sector
Knowledge of lean manufacturing (an asset)
Leadership and a collaborative spirit that inspire and engage teams to achieve excellence.
Ability to solve problems and prioritize daily tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Strong listening skills to quickly understand needs and issues.
Ability to act and react quickly while working on a number of files at the same time.
Leadership to cultivate a culture of OHS accountability.
Sound judgment and the courage to make the necessary decisions.
Agility needed to work with various technological tools.
Knowledge of SAP software an asset
Requirements
High School Diploma, bachelor’s degree preferred in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Technology or Business Administration. A combination of education and experience will be considered.
Must be willing to work 2nd shift hours Monday – Friday 2pm – 10:30pm
2+ years in manufacturing leadership.
Strong communication skills
Excellent computer skills to include ERP/MRP and MS365
