We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Electrical Estimator to join our team. This role is responsible for preparing accurate and competitive cost estimates for electrical construction projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of electrical systems, construction methods, and industry pricing.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities This list of duties and responsibilities is not all-inclusive and may be expanded to include other duties and responsibilities, as deemed necessary.
Analyze blueprints, specifications, and project documents to develop detailed cost estimates.
Contact vendors and subcontractors for pricing and bids.
Prepare and submit bid proposals, including labor, materials, and time requirements.
Assist in calculating labor, materials, and equipment costs.
Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and subcontractors to ensure accurate scope and pricing.
Conduct site visits to gather data and assess project conditions.
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of market trends, labor rates, and material costs.
Track and document all estimation activities and maintain historical cost data.
Identify potential cost risks and provide value engineering options.
Proficiency in estimating software and Microsoft Office Suite.
Excellent communication, analytical, and organizational skills.
Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to job sites.
Education
High School Diploma or GED required, Certification from respected electrical program. Bachelor’s or associate degree in construction management, Electrical Engineering, or related field preferred.

Good written and verbal communication.
Customer service oriented.
High level of computer skills including, but not limited to estimating software.
Strong math and analytical skills.
