Job Overview The primary function of the PLC Programmer is to develop and execute start‑up and debug machine logic. The role establishes training and guidelines to ensure software templates meet all applicable standards and specifications and oversees project template designs for reuse and continuity.

Qualifications Required:

Associate degree in Electrical Engineering, Industrial Automation, or equivalent education and experience.

Minimum 5 years of experience as a PLC programmer with a similar company.

Minimum 3 years of experience with Siemens TIA software.

Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings, schematics, wiring diagrams, manuals, and specifications for electrical controls.

Preferred:

B.S.E.E. Degree in electronics or electrical engineering.

Documented PLC software training certificates.

Working knowledge of various control system software (PC, PLC, communications, and instrumentation signal conditioning architecture).

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Develop comprehensive controls applications guided by the project team.

Use simulation software and work with electrical mechanisms, machinery, transmissions, engine assembly, test systems, and general physics.

Train and mentor department personnel on skills and procedures to improve overall performance.

Provide concept and written descriptions for quoting purposes.

Perform field service on equipment as required (domestic and international) and ensure timely completion of all project phases.

Guarantee designs and purchased components meet designated R&M requirements and life expectancies.

Assist with machine debug, tryout, and customer training.

Participate in production of KUKA‑AT service manuals and support customer training.

Maintain high-level knowledge of Siemens hardware and software (ProTool, WinCC Flexible, Graph 7, S7, TIA, Sinamics, Profinet, TCP/IP, etc.).

Develop PLC interfaces for cameras, scanners, tightening/press systems and robots.
