Leadership Annual Giving Officer – Engineering
Base pay range: $60,000 – $61,000 per year.
Job Purpose Support and participate in fundraising efforts, strategies, and initiatives for the James and Patricia Anderson College of Engineering. Manage a portfolio of 100–150 leadership annual gift prospects, identify and qualify prospects, cultivate, solicit, and steward donors to meet fundraising goals within the allocated expense budget. This role reports to the Senior Director, Donor Experience and Individual Giving.
Responsibilities
Manage a portfolio of 100–150 leadership annual gift prospects and conduct one‑on‑one solicitations to secure gifts of $1,000 or higher.
Achieve assertive annual fundraising goal and assist in meeting unit goals, with performance measured by cash and in‑kind gifts, number of gifts at $1,000–$24,999, and donor engagement metrics.
Develop fundraising plans, strategies and activities to engage alumni and build a major donor pipeline.
Develop strategies to increase attendance at alumni and donor events; manage follow‑up activities to upgrade donors.
Serve as liaison to the Annual and Digital Campaigns team on behalf of Engineering; assist with giving day plans and solicitation letters.
Collaborate with the Donor Experience team to ensure stewardship of prospects and donors, including endowment impact and scholarship reports.
Draft and negotiate gift and pledge documentation; route donor contributions and paperwork for timely processing.
Perform related duties and special projects as assigned.
Qualifications
Graduation from an accredited college or university with a degree in marketing, public relations, business administration, or a related field.
Minimum 2 years of experience in fundraising with at least 3 years of direct individual solicitation experience.
Experience preparing proposals and conducting gift solicitations; higher‑education or non‑profit development experience preferred.
Professional knowledge of development and alumni affairs best practices.
Strong analytical, presentation, collaboration, communication, learning agility, planning, teamwork, and technical skills; proficiency with Microsoft Office.
Working Conditions Office environment; normal working conditions.
