Compliance Specialist

What We're Looking For:
Crystal Stairs is seeking a Compliance Specialist for our Compliance Unit. Under general supervision, the Compliance Specialist is responsible for supporting the Agency by implementing an effective compliance program that includes monitoring adherence to legal, regulatory, contractual and policy requirements, performing risk-based compliance monitoring and assisting in audit preparation. The role requires a high level of confidentiality and attention to detail. Responsibilities/Essential Functions
Conduct internal monitoring reviews to assess compliance with laws, regulations, funding contracts and Agency policies and procedures. Support the internal monitoring review process for administrative functions. Assist with preparing detailed compliance reports and dashboards for management to support strategic planning and decision‑making. Monitor key compliance metrics and trends; identify and report areas of risk; monitor adherence to corrective action plan. Maintain and update compliance tracking systems and databases. Provide administrative support for external monitoring reviews and audits by gathering documents and coordinating interviews. Assist supervisor with providing training. Participate in work groups, committees, and ad hoc teams. Perform other duties as assigned by Supervisor. Experience, Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities You Should Possess
Bachelor's degree from an accredited university is preferred; relevant work experience in compliance or auditing may be substituted for formal education. Minimum of one to two years of compliance, quality assurance, risk management or internal audit experience working in subsidized child care, Head Start, or other government‑funded social service programs. Basic knowledge of compliance or risk. Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with compliance databases. Strong analytical skills and attention to detail. Ability to interpret and apply complex regulations. Excellent verbal, written, and presentation communication skills. Strong customer service orientation. Ability to work effectively with diverse groups. Total Package of Benefits
