General Purpose of Job The Quality Review Specialist plays a vital role in ensuring the quality and effectiveness of Children’s Network’s interventions and services aimed at safeguarding children from abuse and neglect. This role involves meticulously reviewing case files, assessments, and documentation to ensure compliance with legal requirements, agency policies, and best practices. The Quality Management Specialist will collaborate closely with caseworkers, supervisors, and other stakeholders to identify areas for improvement and provide constructive feedback to enhance service delivery and outcomes for children and families.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

Conduct thorough reviews of case files, including assessments, investigative reports, and service plans, to assess compliance with legal mandates, agency policies, and quality standards.

Conduct Child and Family Services Reviews (CFSR) as required.

Evaluate the accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of case documentation, ensuring that all required information is appropriately documented and maintained.

Identify strengths and areas for improvement in case management practices, documentation, and service delivery through systematic reviews and analysis.

Provide constructive feedback and recommendations to caseworkers, supervisors, and other staff members to enhance the quality and effectiveness of interventions and services.

Collaborate with internal stakeholders to develop and implement quality improvement initiatives, training programs, and resources to support continuous learning and development.

Monitor trends and patterns in case outcomes, service utilization, and compliance metrics to inform strategic decision-making and policy development.

Participate in case review meetings, multidisciplinary teams, and other forums to share insights, best practices, and lessons learned.

Maintain confidentiality and adhere to ethical standards in handling sensitive information and case-related discussions.

Stay informed about relevant laws, regulations, research findings, and best practices in child welfare and quality assurance.

Perform other duties as assigned to support the overall mission and objectives of Children’s Network of Hillsborough.

Working Hours CNHC’s believes in work life balance for all employees. This is an in-office position, Monday-Friday from 8:00am to 5:00pm averaging forty (40) hours per week. Working hours may vary based on business needs.

Travel Travel in and outside of Circuit 13 is required.

Pre-employment Requirements

Valid driver’s license required, with proof of insurance.

Driver’s license check is a requirement.

Criminal background screening (fingerprinting) (Local Law Enforcement and FBI/FDLE).

Drug Screening is a requirement.

Children’s Network participates in E-Verify.

Education And Experience

A bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.

Certification as a child welfare professional.

A minimum of two years’ experience in the field of child welfare is preferred.

Skills And Abilities Must have the ability to review and assess complex case information utilizing analytical skills while maintaining attention to detail. Should be able to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing. Must have a collaborative mindset with the ability to work effectively in a team-based environment and establish positive working relationships with colleagues and stakeholders. Demonstrate strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities efficiently. Committed to demonstrating cultural competence, diversity, equity, and inclusion principles in service delivery and practice. Proficiency in using computer software and databases for data analysis, documentation, and reporting. Flexibility and adaptability to respond to changing priorities and deadlines in a fast‑paced and dynamic environment. Must possess excellent organizational skills and abide by the highest standards of confidentiality.

Physical Demands The physical demands of this position are generally moderate. The role may require extended periods of sitting, standing, and using a computer. Occasional lifting of office supplies, files, or materials up to 25 pounds may be required. Work Environment This is an in-office-based position focused on administrative work, where the noise level may be moderate. This role may involve occasional travel among agency locations, extended periods of computer work, and frequent interactions across multiple departments.
