Overview
Our client, an e-commerce company that specializes in the jewelry and diamond industry, is seeking an Inventory Specialist to join their New York operations team. The ideal candidates will be organized, detail-oriented, and capable of thriving in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. This role involves hands-on work in inventory management, fulfillment, and recordkeeping to support smooth daily operations. Candidates should bring strong communication skills, a positive attitude, and the ability to follow direction effectively while working independently.
Responsibilities
Order Fulfillment: Pull, invoice, and package jewelry for e-commerce orders
Inventory Transfers: Fulfill internal inventory requests by pulling and transferring items between departments
Labeling: Print and apply RFID tags for new jewelry items
Returns Processing: Handle returned orders and re-tag merchandise as required
Stocking: Scan items into their assigned bins and update tracking systems
Data Management: Enter inventory data into Excel spreadsheets for analysis and recordkeeping
Product Knowledge: Develop a basic understanding of jewelry and diamonds to enhance accuracy and efficiency in handling products
Location, Type, and Compensation
Location: New York, NY (Onsite)
Employment Type: Full-Time, Seasonal (ASAP – February 27)
Compensation: $18.50 per hour
Required Qualifications
High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent certification required
Minimum of 1 year of relevant experience
Positive, adaptable attitude with a focus on quality and consistency
Basic computer proficiency; experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, Word, etc.)
Ability to stand or walk for up to 8 hours per day
