DESCRIPTION OF POSITION:
Responsible for estimating labor, materials and subcontractors required for service repair proposals and ordering of parts for service calls. Assist dispatchers on incoming service calls. Provide technical support to service department and technicians. Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills and must be able to work independently as well as part of the team.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Review all service tickets given by Service Manager to have parts/labor quoted to customer for approval
Order parts generated by service calls
Research all parts, cost, subs and availability before quoting jobs
Prepare estimates and generate proposals for Service Manager approval
Maintain communication with customers and vendors
Follow-up with change order requests and estimates
Assist service technicians to locate parts for service calls as required
Issue POs to subcontractors and vendors as required
Enter POs and track delivery
Assist Accounts Receivable with following up on invoices
All other duties assigned by management
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
Minimum high school education – Technical school education preferred
Three (3) to five (5) years of HVAC industry experience in Service
REQUIRED SKILLS AND STRENGTHS
Knowledge of HVAC industry
Knowledge of estimating
Able to plan
Competent in conflict management
Ability to meet deadlines
Computer literate with Word, Excel, email and data entry
Able to adapt and learn new computer programs
Familiar with standard office machines
Work in a fast-paced environment
