Description Electrical Consultants, Inc. (ECI) is a leading power engineering consultant firm providing engineering, system planning and studies, technical consultation, project management, surveying, environmental planning, commissioning/testing and construction services to electric utilities, energy developers and industrials throughout the U.S. Our experience includes system voltages from 4.16 kV through 765 kV. ECI is opening an office in Nebraska in one of the cities listed above and has an opening for a transmission project manager. This is a great opportunity to help start and grow a new office location.
Responsibilities
Conceptual, preliminary and final detailed design of new and upgraded transmission lines, including material procurement and construction support through line energization.
Scoping, budgeting, scheduling, planning, executing, monitoring and reporting of transmission line projects and proposals.
Oversee a project team (or teams) of engineers, designers, drafters and support staff.
Diligently execute ECI's quality control procedure, ensuring best-in-class project execution and delivery.
Coordinate with ECI's subject matter expert discipline groups such as Substation Engineering, Distribution Studies, Transmission Studies, Grounding Studies, Civil Engineering, Environmental Planning, Surveying, Lands/Right-of-Way, and Project Management/Controls to ensure successful execution of assigned projects.
Serve as the primary interface with clients and other project stakeholders.
Provide technical mentorship and training of project team design staff.
Minimum Requirements
Bachelor of Science or Master’s degree in Civil Engineering, 10+ years of project engineering experience, or an acceptable combination of education and experience.
2+ years of demonstrated project management and leadership experience.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills; strong organization and planning skills.
Commitment to quality and accuracy; willingness and ability to meet fast-paced project schedules.
Advanced knowledge of transmission engineering principals, expert regarding applicable codes, standards and design tools, and the ability to direct and oversee multiple technical disciplines.
PE license and PMP certification are preferred.
Ability to resolve conflicting priorities and schedules.
Occasional travel/driving required; applicant must meet ECI's auto insurance carrier requirements.
