Job Description Electrical Consultants, Inc. (ECI) is a leading power engineering consultant firm that provides engineering, system planning and studies, technical consultation, project management, surveying, environmental planning, commissioning/testing and construction services to electric utilities, energy developers and industrials throughout the U.S. Our experience includes system voltages from 4.16 kV through 765 kV. ECI is opening an office in Nebraska in one of the cities listed above and has an opening for a transmission project manager. This is a great opportunity to help start and grow a new office location.

Responsibilities Conceptual, preliminary and final detailed design of new and upgraded transmission lines, including material procurement and construction support through line energization. Scoping, budgeting, scheduling, planning, executing, monitoring and reporting of transmission line projects and proposals. Oversee a project team of engineers, designers, drafters and support staff. Ensure quality control and delivery of projects. Coordinate with Substation Engineering, Distribution Studies, Transmission Studies, Grounding Studies, Civil Engineering, Environmental Planning, Surveying, Lands/Right-of-Way, and Project Management/Controls. Serve as primary interface with clients and stakeholders. Provide technical mentorship and training to project team design staff.

Minimum Requirements Bachelor of Science or Master’s degree in Civil Engineering, 10+ years of project engineering experience or an acceptable combination of education and experience; 2+ years of demonstrated project management and leadership experience; excellent verbal and written communication skills; strong organization and planning skills; commitment to quality and accuracy; willingness and ability to meet fast‑paced project schedules. A PE license and PMP certification are preferred. Advanced knowledge of transmission engineering principals, expert knowledge of applicable codes, standards and design tools, and ability to direct and oversee multiple technical disciplines. Ability to resolve conflicting priorities and schedules. Subject to client‑mandated drug and background checking. Occasional travel/driving required; application to ECI’s auto insurance carrier requirements. Must not require sponsorship for employment visa status now or in the future.
