POSITION OVERVIEW The Central Operations Supervisor leads a small team of clerical and para‑professional staff in the deposit operations group. This role is responsible for overseeing highly transactional processes, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and compliance with all policies, procedures, and applicable regulations. Serving as a trusted operational advisor to both the Central Operations Team and Bank leadership, the Supervisor partners closely with Compliance to mitigate risk, support regulatory adherence, and enhance operational effectiveness. This position is on‑site at our Fresno office.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES
Oversee daily operations of Central Operations, ensuring all tasks are completed accurately, efficiently, and in compliance with policies, procedures, and regulations.
Supervise and provide day‑to‑day oversight, training, coaching, cross‑training, and mentoring to Central Operations Support Specialists and clerical staff.
Monitor production activities to ensure service levels and departmental goals are achieved; research and resolve escalated processing issues as the final point of resolution.
Conduct quality audits to verify compliance with policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
Assist the Central Operations Manager with performance evaluations, goal setting, coaching, and timely management of performance issues.
Conduct regular team meetings and one‑on‑one check‑ins to communicate updates, address concerns, and reinforce priorities.
Assist management in executing strategic initiatives, including special projects, new programs, and reporting.
Support preparation for audits and regulatory examinations by providing documentation and explanations as needed.
Analyze departmental processes and workflows to identify risks, recommend improvements, and implement automation to enhance efficiency and mitigate loss.
Perform complex reconciliations, investigate discrepancies, and collaborate cross‑functionally to resolve outstanding items (e.g., ATM balancing, IRA processing, government reporting).
Ensure unclaimed property reporting is completed accurately and timely in compliance with state requirements.
Collaborate with internal stakeholders to enhance client service, meet service level agreements, and efficiently resolve escalations.
Maintain a thorough understanding of banking policies, compliance requirements, and industry best practices (e.g., BSA, AML, Reg E, Reg D, Reg CC, Fair Lending, Anti‑Discrimination, Privacy, Information Security).
Complete all mandatory compliance training as assigned.
Transaction & Processing Oversight
Payments & Funds Movement
– ACH processing and returns, wire transfers (USD, FX & OLB), EFT settlements and disputes, TT&L processing, Federal Reserve returns.
Deposit & Account Services
– Non‑post and exception processing, overdraft and stop payments, NSF returns, dormant accounts and escheatment, collections.
Legal & Regulatory Processing
– Levies, attachments, subpoenas, and other legal orders; Regulation E claims.
Reconciliation & Balancing
– General ledger and DDA reconciliation and certification, ATM balancing, cash vault activities, positive pay reviews.
Card, ATM & Specialized Services
– Debit card processing, compromised card handling, ATM cash ordering and shipments, foreign currency processing, and remote deposit items.

The incumbent in the course of performing this position spends time writing, typing, speaking, listening, lifting (up to 10 pounds), driving, carrying, seeing (such as close, color and peripheral vision, depth perception and adjusted focus), sitting, pulling, walking, standing, squatting, kneeling and reaching.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS Minimum Qualifications
Associate’s degree in business administration or equivalent experience
Five (5) years working in a banking environment and two (2) working in deposit operations within the banking or financial services industry.
Prior experience directly managing people and teams.
Accredited ACH Professional (AAP), Accredited Payment Risk Professional (APRP), and NACHA Certified or the ability to obtain within 6 months of employment.
Knowledge of computer programs including Microsoft Office Suite, Fedline Advantage, eBanking products and services, etc.
Knowledge of all bank products.
Thorough understanding of Regulation E, Regulation CC, Regulation D and regulatory compliance issues.
Preferred Qualifications
Prior experience with Fiserv products.

COMPENSATION The posted pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role but may include ranges from the different geographies where this position may be based. New employees' starting pay is usually from the start of the range to approximately 25% of the max, more qualified and/or experienced employees may start near the middle of the range for their geography. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range.
Compensation for our organization is based on factors that include the role, required knowledge, skills, abilities and competencies, and candidates’ relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. Our pay ranges are based on national living wage indexes, such as MIT's living wage index, to enable us to pay our employees beyond what are standard practices for many employers, and also take into account geographically‑specific recent compensation market survey data for each position.
