Posted Tuesday, July 29, 2025 at 4:00 AM | Expired Monday, August 25, 2025 at 3:59 AM Summary: The Purchasing Coordinator is responsible for coordinating with the Production Planning & Materials Manager with the accomplishment of group tasks within the department. This position is responsible for the procurement of materials, suppliers and services required by the organization. The position is responsible for accurate pricing, lead times and terms and conditions Responsibilities: Purchases supplies, materials, and parts for the facility. Maintains knowledge of trends, pricing, buyers, and delivery conditions to anticipate future material availability; manages purchasing programs accordingly. Assists with the negotiation and completion of contracts with vendors for optimal cost and delivery times. Reviews purchase orders and contracts for compliance with company and departmental policies. Collaborates with sales, customer service, and logistics departments to maximize efficiency in the purchasing and inventory control department. Communicate with suppliers to resolve problems that may arise regarding delivery, quality, price, or conditions of sale. Purchases a wide variety of items within a manufacturing environment. Assists with the development and implementation of policies and procedures related to purchasing and inventory control with a goal to maximize efficiency and optimize workflow. Responsible for running the daily, weekly, and monthly reports associated with purchasing. Communicates with vendors and suppliers and follows up with actions related to open orders and open order reports. Performs other duties as assigned. Requirements: High School Diploma or GED required. Associate degree preferred. Demonstrated time management, organization, and planning skills. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Basic understanding of MRP Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Strong analytical and problem solving skills. Strong literacy with Microsoft Office Suite. Capable of assuming responsibility Physical Demands and Work Environment: This position will work in an office environment within a manufacturing facility with exposure to machinery and related noise levels. Position will be primarily working in a sitting position for up to six (6) plus hours typing and analyzing data. Periodic walking around the facility will be required.
