Principal Duties
Supervise students.
Work with students individually or in group settings under the direction of professional staff.
Consistently monitor students’ learning and behaviors.
Be available for any student need including health, toileting, behavior, and self‑help skills.
Attend district workshops and trainings to continue learning about Early Childhood Education.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Classification Teacher Associates
Hours: 7.5 per day, 4 days per week (Monday–Thursday)
Pay: $16.10 per hour
Employment Date ASAP
Preparation, Experience, and Skills
At least 12 credit hours in early childhood education, a current CDA credential, or 2 years of post‑secondary education or Paraeducator certificate.
Required to obtain pediatric first aid and CPR.
Willingness to assume responsibility.
Ability to work well with others.
Flexibility in working with classroom teachers.
Ability to work independently.
Good oral and written communication skills.
Enjoy working with preschool‑age children.
Ability to effectively supervise students while maintaining a positive relationship with them.
Physical Demands The job requires frequent standing, walking, using hands, walking or kneeling, reaching, and lifting up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities include close vision and color vision.
Working Environment The environment is typically quiet with occasional indoor and outdoor activities. Work may involve different classroom areas and supervising students indoors and outdoors.
