True Health . This role involves assisting medical providers in referring patients to secondary care providers as directed. Primary Functions
Make medical records available to practitioners and clinical personnel upon request. Help providers obtain appointments for consultations, procedures, etc., through available communication channels. Request summaries of medical care from private physicians or medical facilities, keep records of correspondence, and follow up. Follow-up on patients who miss specialist appointments. Track all patient referrals to ensure reports are received, scanned, and imported timely. Document all steps taken to process a referral properly. Process Orange County referrals promptly. Notify providers and patients if additional tests are needed before completing a referral. Maintain adequate supplies of forms and materials, process authorizations and referrals, and keep records. Process all assigned referrals within 24-48 hours unless prevented by specific circumstances. Answer phone calls regarding patient questions related to referrals. Other duties as assigned. Education and Experience
High school diploma or equivalent. At least 3 years of medical experience. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Ability to work under pressure. Computer literacy. Good interpersonal skills. Additional Qualifications
Bilingual skills are a plus. Relationship Reporting
Reports to Medical Records and Referral Manager. Physical Requirements
Ability to sit and view a computer screen for extended periods. Perform repetitive hand and wrist motions. Hear and converse professionally at all times. Details
