Key Responsibilities

Perform receipt and evaluation inspections of complex components and assemblies using pre‑set inspection plans.

Ensure compliance with all associated quality procedures, airworthiness control plans, and quality management system requirements.

Use aerospace knowledge to inspect finished articles and ensure conformance with FAA/EASA/TCCA Part 21 specifications and established quality standards, including customer requirements.

Issue discrepancy reports and unserviceable tags on non‑conforming material.

Assist in resolving customer complaints and follow up with the Customer Service team to ensure correct handling and closure of claims.

Oversee non‑conforming material handling and disposition.

Document and record non‑conformance process issues related to business operations.

Interface with Satair’s material logistics and suppliers to report, investigate and resolve material non‑conformances and quality issues.

Interface with SAP key user regarding electronic data processing functions and systems support for quality management functions/operations.

Qualifications & Experience

High school diploma or equivalent.

1–3 years of maintenance experience with knowledge of aircraft operations, systems and practices or 1–3 years of manufacturing experience under FAA FAR Part 21, EASA Part 21G, TCCA Part 21 or aviation distribution.

Ability to obtain a passport.

Valid driver’s license.

Familiarity with aerospace quality control and quality assurance systems.

Familiarity with AS9100 / AS9110 / AS9120.

Familiarity with first‑article inspection.

Familiarity with tools for airworthiness determinations such as calipers, micrometers and depth gauges.

Physical Requirements

Lifting and carrying up to 30 lbs (14 kg). Ability to push/pull, sit, stand, squat/kneel, walk, speak, hear, and possess adequate vision and manual dexterity for 100% of the time.

On‑site duties 100% of the time.

Vision: read computer screens and documents, and access technical data.

Hearing: participate in conversations and detect floor sounds and safety warnings.

Speaking: communicate in meetings and deliver information.

Equipment operation: use personal computer, telephone, copier, fax machine and relevant office tools, plus production tools such as hydraulic lifts.

Carrying: handle documents, tools, technical data and electronic equipment up to 30 lbs (14 kg).

Standing and sitting for extended periods during meetings or computer work.

Squatting/Kneeling: retrieve or replace items stored on low shelving.

Travel: travel independently on short notice.

Walking: navigate office and production areas, including uneven surfaces.

PPE: safety shoes, glasses, hearing protection, respirators/masks and/or gloves as required by site or customer site; steel‑toed shoes required for production floor visits; additional hearing or eye protection may be required.

Citizenship & Working Authorization

Authorized to work in the US without current or future need for visa sponsorship.
