Overview

Airbus/Satair is seeking a Quality Inspector to join the team based in Dulles, VA. This is a temporary (contract) position with no fixed end date; contractors are employed by a third‑party vendor and placed on assignment to Airbus in America. The role involves receipt and evaluation inspections of complex components and assemblies, using pre‑set inspection plans, and ensuring compliance with quality procedures, airworthiness control plans, and quality management system requirements. Your working environment

The site is located minutes from Washington Dulles International Airport and about 30 miles from the U.S. Capitol. It operates as a major parts distribution hub in the Americas (24/7) with an AOG support desk and QA operations. The 20,000‑square‑foot warehouse features Autostore technology to increase productivity. Airbus supports flexible working arrangements where possible. Responsibilities

Use aerospace knowledge to inspect finished articles for conformance with FAA/EASA/TCCA Part 21 specifications and customer requirements. Issue Discrepancy Reports and Unserviceable Tags on non‑conforming material. Assist in resolving customer complaints and coordinate with Customer Service to ensure proper handling and closure of the claim. Oversee non‑conforming material handling and disposition. Document and record non‑conformance process issues affecting business operations. Interface with Material Logistics, Suppliers, and SAP Key User for reporting, investigation, and resolution of material non‑conformances and quality issues. Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent. 1–3 years of maintenance experience and knowledge of aircraft operations, systems, and practices OR 1–3 years of manufacturing experience under FAA FAR Part 21, EASA Part 21G, TCCA Part 21, or aviation distributor. Ability to obtain a passport and a valid driver's license. Familiarization with aerospace quality control/quality assurance systems; AS9100/AS9110/AS9120; First Article Inspection. Familiarization with tooling to make airworthiness determinations (calipers, micrometers, depth gauges). Physical Requirements

Ability to lift/carry up to 30 lbs (14 kg); push/pull, sit, stand, kneel/squat, walk, speak, hear, have vision, and dexterity 100% of the time. On‑Site: 100%; Vision: able to read screens and documents; Hearing: ability to participate in conversations and hear warnings; Speaking: able to communicate effectively. Operate office equipment and some tools, including production tools on the floor; carry, lift, push/pull items up to 30 lbs. Sit for long periods; squat/kneel to access low shelving; stand for discussions on/off the production floor; travel as needed. Personal Protective Equipment as required by site or customer site (safety shoes, glasses, hearing protection, respirators/masks, gloves). Citizenship
