Celestica is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented
Logistics & 3PL Support Analyst
to assist in the execution of global transportation and trade compliance tasks. The ideal candidate will have
2-4 years
of experience in logistics, freight coordination, or supply chain support. This role is crucial for ensuring the smooth, cost-effective movement of materials and finished products, while maintaining accurate documentation and tracking records. Key Responsibilities
Shipment Tracking & Coordination:
Coordinate daily inbound and outbound shipments, ensuring all necessary documentation (e.g., Invoices, Packing Lists) is complete and accurate. Track shipments actively and communicate transit status and potential delays to internal stakeholders. 3PL and Carrier Support:
Serve as the primary administrative contact for third-party logistics (3PL) providers and freight carriers. Assist the Logistics Manager in monitoring KPIs and compiling data for performance reviews. Cost & Invoice Audit:
Review and validate freight invoices against agreed-upon contract rates. Identify and flag discrepancies to the Logistics Manager for negotiation and resolution to support cost-control initiatives. Customs Documentation:
Assist the Trade Compliance team in preparing and verifying customs documentation (e.g., HTS codes, Incoterms, value declarations) to minimize delays and ensure regulatory adherence for international shipments of high-value components. Reporting:
Maintain accurate records of all freight costs, transit times, and shipment details within the Transportation Management System (TMS) and ERP/MRP systems. Generate routine reports on freight spend and carrier performance. Problem Resolution:
Act as the internal point-of-contact for resolving routine logistics issues such as lost or damaged goods, incorrect documentation, and scheduling conflicts, escalating complex problems as necessary. Process Compliance:
Ensure all material handling and documentation procedures related to shipping and receiving specialized customer products are followed. Required Experience & Qualifications
2 to 4 years
of experience in a support role within Logistics, Transportation, Freight Forwarding, or a related Supply Chain function. Foundational experience in a manufacturing or distribution environment is preferred. Exposure to international shipping and trade compliance is a strong asset. Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business, or a related field. Practical experience using
Transportation Management Systems (TMS)
or dedicated freight tracking software. Proficiency in
Excel
for data organization and reporting. Familiarity with basic
ERP/MRP
functions. High attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and clear, professional written and verbal communication skills for carrier and 3PL interaction. Physical Demands & Work Environment
Work Environment:
Primarily an office-based role, with periodic visits to the warehouse to support audit procedures and verify documentation. Physical Demands:
