The purpose of this position is to provide analysis, accounting, consulting, recommendations, planning, performance measurement, technical support, training and project and process improvement support to various levels of Facilities and cross functional strategic initiative teams to enable and support information-based decision making.
Responsibilities
performing accounting and financial analysis support activities for Facilities operations, with a focus on all Facilities managed store maintenance work.
providing analytical and consultative business services, both individually and through cross-functional teams, supporting Facilities projects and strategic cost control initiatives.
developing databases, worksheets and queries for capturing and reporting useful information to enable fact-based decision-making.
development and mentoring other members of BAR and Facilities.
Education & Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting or another analytical discipline with at least 2 years relevant business experience or equivalent OR
Associate’s degree in Finance, Accounting or another analytical discipline with at least 4 years business experience or equivalent OR
High School diploma with at least 6 years business experience or equivalent

Advanced Qualifications
Master’s degree in Accounting or MBA with concentration in Accounting or Finance
3 years relevant business experience
Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Certified Management Accountant (CMA), Certified Corporate Financial Planning & Analysis Professional (CFPAP), or other certifications specific to the position
Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), general business practices, and financial statements, as well as business practices specific to Publix
Knowledge of the Publix retail store environment and operations, as well as the support department structure
Knowledge of SOX (Sarbanes-Oxley) requirements and internal controls related to work order settlement
Ability to develop financial modeling tools and use forecasting skills
Advanced Microsoft Access and Excel skills
Intermediate Microsoft Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint skills
Advanced knowledge of Service Hub and replacement SAP Maintenance module (once live)
Intermediate knowledge of Business Intelligence (BI)
Intermediate knowledge of SAP Finance and Controlling modules
Basic knowledge of SAP Project Systems and Fixed Asset modules
Basic knowledge of Publix structured writing templates such as procedures, memos and financial summaries
