Summary As an integral part of our project delivery team, the Junior Project Manager supports the Senior Project Manager and cross‑functional teams to ensure smooth execution of construction, automation, and service projects. This entry‑level role is perfect for someone beginning their project management journey—organized, curious, and ready to grow. Through hands‑on experience and mentorship, the Junior PM will gain practical skills across all phases of a project, from launch to completion.
Qualifications
2+ year of experience in construction, HVAC, estimating, or project coordination
Desire to learn project management methodologies in a fast‑paced, collaborative setting
Strong communication, organizational, and people skills
Keen attention to detail paired with effective time management
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, Teams)
Experience with project tracking tools (e.g., Smartsheet, Microsoft Project) is beneficial
Familiarity with Timberline Sage 300 CRE a bonus, not required
High school diploma/GED required; degree in a related field is a plus
Dependable and self‑motivated with a growth mindset
Open to feedback and willing to evolve with team and company processes
Reliable, punctual, and proactive
Key Responsibilities
Collaborate with the Senior Project Manager to plan, coordinate, and oversee project progress
Participate in kickoff meetings and assist in documenting scopes, milestones, and requirements
Support interdepartmental communication to keep construction, automation, and service activities aligned
Coordinate with vendors for material procurement and ensure timely deliveries
Assist in managing and organizing essential project documentation, including:
RFIs, submittals, change orders, and O&M manuals
Track and update project metrics such as:
Design revisions
Permit status
Equipment orders
Labor and installation schedules
Budget forecasts
Contribute to bi‑weekly WIP (Work in Progress) meetings with status updates
Join site visits with the Senior PM to observe work and learn best practices for quality assurance
Maintain clear, structured digital and paper files for each project
Foster strong relationships with clients, subcontractors, and internal teams through consistent communication
Follow company safety protocols and OSHA guidelines
