A qualified candidate for this Assistant Project Manager (APM) position will possess experience managing the materials, documentation, and scheduling for construction projects. The APM’s responsibilities include schedule updating, pre-planning, project documentation, material procurement, reviewing and managing project submittals and RFIs, and resource forecasting for the project\'s needs. APM’s work with the project management team to assist with the success of the project. Essential Functions & Responsibilities

Collects daily reports and project photos from the Project Manager and the Project Superintendent, then generates a weekly report to client/subs/project team as directed. Responsible and accountable for ensuring that the Submittal schedule in Procore is accurate prior to submitting to the Architect, and throughout the project. Responsible for pursuing all shop drawings and submittals from all vendors and subcontractors. Responsible and accountable to check all submittals and shop drawings prior to their submission to the Architect, (Have other Team Members review). Responsible to coordinate all MEP submittals and shop drawings with other trades and the Contract Documents. This is to ensure systems are in accordance with the design, and have all required utilities shown on the design documents so that the systems function properly. Responsible for ensuring that submittals are reviewed and returned by the designers in the Contract specified period. Responsible for returning all reviewed submittals and shop drawings to the appropriate parties. Remember that this could be other subcontractors that need to coordinate their work. Is responsible for writing and submitting all RFIs to the Architect as directed by the Project Manager and Superintendent. Responsible to ensure that the RFIs are responded to by the Architect in the time allotted by the Contract. Responsible for distributing the RFI responses to all subcontractors, linking them to the drawings they may affect, and letting the PM know that there may be a cost impact caused by the RFI response. Conduct pre-work meetings with Project Superintendent to review scope, manpower requirements, work sequence, special requirements, and safety awareness. Document with meeting minutes using the Procore form. Responsible and accountable for document control. Making sure that the latest drawings, specifications, submittals, project schedules, change orders, and shop drawings have been distributed to all stakeholders, and posted to Procore. Prepares transmittals for construction documents as required using Procore. Responsible for ensuring maintenance of submittal, RFI, and material procurement logs. Accurately draft scopes for subcontracts and major purchase orders, with the oversight of the project manager, on an as requested basis. Responsible for material procurement by use of procurement log management - Ensure timely delivery of all materials so that the job is not delayed, review deliveries daily and keep the Project Manager and Superintendent informed. Responsible for assembling Proposed Change Orders as requested by the Project Manager. Draft Subcontractor Change Orders as requested by the Project Manager. Begin learning to build the P6 project schedule with the Project Manager and Superintendent. Responsible for updating the P6 project schedule with the Project Manager and Superintendent. Responsible for requesting, receiving, organizing, and turning the Closeout material over to the Architect and Owner. Setup the project in ProCore. Ensure that subcontractors and vendors have released materials and equipment as soon as the submittals/shop drawings are approved. Responsible for reviewing the returned submittals to ensure that the Architect/Engineers have not revised their design in the shop drawings. If they have, the Project Manager is to be notified immediately. Helps the Team make and complete the Contractor and the Architects Punchlist. (In Procore). Assists Superintendent and Project Manager with material takeoff for field purchasing Assist in the receipt and checking of delivered material to ensure compliance with the plans, specifications, and the delivery schedule. Obtain permits if directed by Project Manager. Verify that subcontractors have obtained permits. Assist the Project Manager and Superintendent with Louisiana One Call if requested. Learn to read and understand all commercial construction documentation. (Plans, specifications, ASIs, RFIs, contracts, subcontracts, etc.) Read the specifications and contract documents and study the plan details. Know the project better than anyone else. Prepare contact list of key personnel in Procore for the project. Ensure that the subcontractors have access to Procore. Be completely familiar with the general conditions of the contract. Responsible for taking meeting minutes as directed by the Project Manager and Superintendent. Learn and be proficient in all software that is provided by the company for project management. Education, Experience, & Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in construction or related field, with internship experience in a construction setting preferred. Computer skills to include proficiency in Microsoft Office, Procore, P6, Bluebeam, and other project management software. Must have excellent attention to detail. Must be able to demonstrate a sense of urgency. Must possess strong reporting and verbal communication skills. Must be able to read and interpret construction documents and identify issues and discrepancies in the documents. Must be proficient at multi-tasking and organizing activities to meet deadlines. Must understand the technical requirements of the construction industry. Must maintain a positive and professional working relationship with clients, subcontractors, vendors, and coworkers. Show initiative and drive. Must be a highly motivated, passionate, and creative team-player with ability to develop and maintain collaborative relationships with all levels within and external to the organization. Excellent time management skills Must own a working vehicle with valid Driver’s License Physical & Mental Demands

Read, analyze, and interpret data (emails, memos, letters, etc.). Maintain visual attention and mental concentration for significant periods of time. Work Environment

Duties are performed both in an office environment and at work sites to review progress and meeting with project stakeholders; travel to work sites using employee's personal transportation is required. At worksites, exposure to conditions like weather elements, airborne particles, dust, asphalt, moving mechanical parts, occasional chemicals, electrical shock, vibration, and loud noise levels may occur. Regular and predictable attendance is required for this full-time position. Workdays and hours coincide with job site and/or office hours. Evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as laptop computers and various digital devices. Work Authorization
