What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
Analyze federal and foundation solicitations to identify funding opportunities aligned with institutional priorities
Collaborate with Principal Investigators (PIs) to develop and submit competitive proposals and project budgets
Design and deliver research compliance training programs for faculty and staff
Maintain tracking systems for compliance elements and generate reports for internal leadership
Partner with post‑award finance team to ensure a seamless transition from pre‑award to post‑award phases
What is Required (Qualifications):
Bachelor’s degree; master’s preferred
Minimum 3‑5 years of experience in research administration, grant management, or a related field
Experience with electronic submission systems (Cayuse, Research.gov, or similar)
Strong project management and organizational skills
Demonstrated knowledge of federal grant regulations and research compliance requirements
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
Experience in a higher education or academic research environment
Proficiency in budget development and financial analysis
Knowledge of subaward negotiations and multi‑institutional collaborations
Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
