AdventHealth Division AdventHealth Tampa is a faith-based, not-for-profit 626-bed tertiary hospital in Tampa, Florida, specializing in cardiovascular medicine, neuroscience, digestive health, orthopedics, women's services, pediatrics, oncology, endocrinology, bariatrics, wound healing, sleep medicine, and general surgery, including minimally invasive and robot-assisted procedures. It hosts GME programs in general surgery, obstetrics and gynecology, internal medicine, and transitional year. It is home to the AdventHealth Pepin Heart Institute, a leader in cardiovascular care for over 35 years, and the Kiran C. Patel Research Institute, which leads in clinical and academic research in neuroscience, cardiovascular medicine, and more. The role you'll contribute: The Ambulatory Payment Classification (APC) Coordinator is responsible for assigning and monitoring CPT and HCPCS Level II procedure codes for grouping into APCs and reporting. They monitor outpatient APC reimbursement across facilities, resolve APC edits, assist with quality reviews, audits, and training outpatient coders, and ensure billing accuracy. The value you'll bring to the team: Review claim denials, develop strategies to reduce denials, maximize reimbursements, and ensure successful claim submissions. Monitor payer rejects, maintain knowledge of reimbursement guidelines, and address accounts promptly. The expertise and experiences you'll need to succeed: High school diploma or equivalent At least 3 years of relevant work experience RHIA or RHIT certification, or CPC or CCS certification AdventHealth is an equal opportunity employer, and salary ranges are based on skills, experience, and location.
