Description
The
Technician I, Quality Assurance
will assist the Quality Assurance Supervisor and Manager in ensuring compliance with all Manufacturing Quality and Food Safety Policies and Guidelines. The Quality Assurance Technician will play a key role in our company’s commitment to the production of the highest quality safe foods. The technician must interact professionally across departments, avoid conflicts, and demonstrate a collaborative spirit. This role is assigned to our 3rd Shift. Responsibilities
Monitor existing product SKUs and recommend improvements in collaboration with R&D. Oversee quality of incoming raw materials and finished products, including organoleptic evaluations. Enforce Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs). Conduct pre-operational inspections daily, including weekly swabs. Ensure cleanliness and upkeep of the production area. Verify CCPs on the production floor. Perform specification testing on raw materials as needed. Monitor daily label checks, HACCP compliance, thermometer checks, temp tags, and calibration requirements. Work Environment
Moderate to loud noise levels in production areas. Temperature-controlled environments, including cold or hot conditions. Overtime may be required, including Saturdays or working in other departments as needed. Physical Requirements
Ability to work in temperature-controlled environments. Walk on slippery surfaces. Hand-eye coordination, handling, reaching, stooping, kneeling, crouching. Visual acuity, including depth perception. Stand/walk for entire shift. Lift/carry up to 50 lbs occasionally. Repetitive motions. Perform additional duties as assigned. Rewards & Benefits

Must be at least 18 years old. High School diploma or GED preferred. Minimum 6 months of quality or related experience required. Experience in production, manufacturing, or warehousing preferred. Knowledge of USDA/FDA regulations, audits, GMPs, SSOPs, HACCP, BRC, and process control. Intermediate skills in Excel, Word, PowerPoint. Excellent verbal and written English communication skills. Follow safety procedures and policies. Adhere to safe food handling, HACCP, and quality control practices.
