Production Supervisor The Production Supervisor is responsible for the oversight and management of work processes and associates within the department. The Production Supervisor will ensure all lines are running efficiently and new hires receive proper training. This individual displays exceptional leadership skills when developing/mentoring Team Leads and is able to effectively utilize critical thinking skills when solving problems.
Direct Reports Up to 120
Position Responsibilities, Tasks and Deliverables
Enforce Hazardous Material Handling Procedures and oversee Initial and Annual Training
Manage and supervise all production associates.
Execute the schedule to keep all production lines running to meet customer needs.
Responsible for the workflow and developing the line leads to take ownership of the line.
Monitor changeovers and set‑ups to reduce down‑time.
Exercise team attitude with peers on alternate shifts to ensure they have a smooth shift start.
Support cGMP by holding associates to required standards.
Monitor training to make sure new hires, temperatures, and department transfers understand their responsibility.
Able to diagnose and correct problems within department and communicate issues cross functionally.
Change agent to support strategic initiatives around safety, quality, cost, and on‑time service.
Responsible for executing Performance Evaluations for department associates.
Expected to be exposed to or trained in handling hazardous materials with annual refresher training.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
Demonstrates strong time management skills when supervising Production Planners & Schedulers and working with Manufacturing, Sales, Vendors and Customers to ensure timely production of finished goods to meet customer demands.
Displays exceptional attention to detail when overseeing production & scheduling plans to maximize plant efficiencies while meeting customer demand.
Utilizes critical thinking and creative problem‑solving skills effectively to provide resolution to production capacity constraints.

Qualifications Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Education
High School Degree or GED Equivalent
Experience
Minimum of 3 years’ supervisory experience in a production/manufacturing setting.
Utilizing effective mentoring and coaching skills to motivate employees and promote positive team building.
Utilizing critical thinking skills to identify, analyze, and solve problems.
Analyzing schedules to ensure production process efficiency.
Minimum of 4 years’ working in a manufacturing environment.
Technology/Software
Basic computer knowledge and familiarization with Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
Communication
Exception verbal and written communication skills.
Able to communicate issues and solutions effectively and efficiently to supervisors and employees.
Displays strong communication skills amongst supervisors, Line Leads, and team members.
Demonstrates and promotes personal accountability amongst Line Leads and team members.
Clearly communicates with alternate shifts to ensure smooth shift change.
Bilingual English and Spanish – Helpful.
Physical Requirements
Must be able to stand / walk for an entire eight‑hour shift. Occasional bending, crouching, and crawling required.
Must be able to regularly lift 55 lbs.
Must be able to hear and understand work direction in a loud, distracting environment.
Must be able to judge distance, identify details, and view computer screens regularly.
