Production Supervisor

As Production Supervisor you will oversee work processes and associates within the department.

You will ensure all lines run efficiently, provide new hires with proper training, and demonstrate outstanding leadership by mentoring Team Leads and solving problems through critical thinking.

Enforce Hazardous Material Handling Procedures and oversee Initial and Annual Training.

Manage and supervise all production associates.

Execute the schedule to keep all production lines running to meet customer needs.

Develop line leads to take ownership of the line.

Monitor changeovers and set‑ups to reduce down‑time.

Maintain a team attitude with peers on alternate shifts to ensure a smooth shift start.

Support cGMP by holding associates to required standards.

Monitor training to ensure new hires understand their responsibilities.

Diagnose and correct problems within the department and communicate issues cross‑functionally.

Serve as a change agent to support strategic initiatives around safety, quality, cost, and on‑time service.

Execute performance evaluations for department associates.

Receive annual refresher training for hazardous materials handling.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

Demonstrate strong time management skills when supervising Production Planners & Schedulers.

Display exceptional attention to detail while overseeing production & scheduling plans.

Utilize critical thinking and creative problem‑solving to address production capacity constraints.

Qualifications

Education

High School Degree or GED Equivalent

Experience

Minimum of 3 years supervisory experience in a production/manufacturing setting.

Effective mentoring and coaching skills to motivate employees.

Critical thinking to identify, analyze, and solve problems.

Analysis of schedules to ensure production process efficiency.

Minimum of 4 years’ working in a manufacturing environment.

Technology/Software

Basic computer knowledge with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).

Communication

Exceptionally strong verbal and written communication skills.

Communicate issues and solutions effectively to supervisors and employees.

Strong communication among supervisors, line leads, and team members.

Promote personal accountability among line leads and team members.

Communicate with alternate shifts to ensure smooth shift change.

Bilingual English and Spanish – Helpful.

Physical Requirements

Must be able to stand/walk for an entire eight‑hour shift; occasional bending, crouching, and crawling required.

Must be able to regularly lift 55 lbs.

Must be able to hear and understand work direction in a loud, distracting environment.

Must be able to judge distance, identify details, and view computer screens regularly.
