This role is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the store, promoting a positive and productive environment. You will partner with the Store Manager to lead and develop staff, recruit and retain top talent, maximize financial goals, and manage customer relations and satisfaction. The position involves analyzing financial statements, promoting our business, and targeting new customer acquisitions. Employees work with jewelry, general merchandise, tools, electronics, firearms (in FFL locations), and more. This role offers an hourly wage plus commission based on productivity and store performance. Actual pay depends on location, qualifications, and experience. Responsibilities of a Store Management Trainee Include Facilitating a customer-centric environment by engaging customers professionally and addressing issues promptly. Training and developing pawnbrokers to meet FirstCash standards. Sourcing and recruiting top talent. Opening and closing the store, including cash and merchandise counts, asset protection, and security procedures. Managing inventory, loans, merchandising, store presentation, and reporting. Analyzing financial statements and driving profitability. Ensuring operational standards meet or exceed company standards. Monitoring loan qualifications and purchase processes. Completing assigned training and development tasks. Communicating store mission and profit objectives to staff. Acting as manager on duty in the absence of the Store Manager. Performing other duties as assigned. Minimum Requirements & Qualifications Ability to lift/carry up to 50 pounds. Willingness to perform tasks that require standing, walking, climbing, pushing, pulling, and lifting for extended periods. Effective supervision skills. Ability to work with firearms and obtain firearms certification. Must be 18 years or older with a high school diploma, GED, or equivalent. Flexibility to work in multiple locations and on a varied schedule, including weekends and holidays. Work 45+ hours per week; hours vary based on business needs. Proficient in computers, POS systems, and office equipment. Strong organizational, analytical, and multi-tasking skills. Cash handling experience required.
