Be a part of the Sam's Club cafe team as a Cafe Associate. Our cafe associates listen to members’ needs, prepare food orders, and provide fast and friendly service. We are looking for individuals who are passionate about fresh food and delivering high-quality products to guests in a clean, welcoming space. Responsibilities
Be a Team Member: Maintain up-to-date knowledge of product specifications related to prepared food merchandise; collaborate with cross-functional teams; educate other associates on tools, tasks, and resources; communicate effectively with the team; and be flexible to work in other areas as needed. Be an Expert: Prepare food according to item specifications; plan future productions and mass productions; prepare for seasonality; adhere to food safety standards, sanitation guidelines, cold chain compliance, and inventory management; operate, maintain, and sanitize equipment; understand product and layout execution. Be a Techie: Use digital tools to drive sales and improve the shopping experience; utilize handheld technology for production decisions, ordering, receiving club pickup orders, training, and product quality—encouraging others to use them. Be an Owner: Drive performance of the area; stock and rotate merchandise; ensure quality and date control; minimize waste; provide member service by recognizing needs and assisting with purchasing decisions; handle payments and merchandise locating; resolve member issues and concerns. Be a Talent Ambassador: Act as a brand advocate; develop, influence, and inspire others to work in a respectful, supportive, and team-oriented way; identify roadblocks and assist in training others. Complies with company policies, procedures, and standards of ethics and integrity; apply Open Door Policy and integrate these in business processes. Completes work assignments by using policies, data, and resources; collaborate with managers, co-workers, customers, and partners; set priorities and deadlines; communicate progress; identify opportunities for improvement; adapt to change and feedback.
