Overview Base to lead a café team member role where members receive fast and friendly service. The cafe associates prepare food orders and ensure a warm, welcoming environment in the Sam’s Club café, with a focus on quality and member satisfaction.

Responsibilities

Be a Team Member: Maintain up-to-date knowledge of product specifications related to prepared food merchandise; collaborate with cross-functional teams; educate other associates on tools, tasks, and resources; communicate effectively with team members; be flexible to the needs of the business to work in other areas.

Be an Expert: Prepare food according to item specifications; plan future productions and mass productions; prepare for seasonality; adhere to food safety standards, sanitation guidelines, cold chain compliance, and inventory management; operate, maintain, and sanitize equipment; understand product and layout execution.

Be a Techie: Use digital tools to drive sales and enhance the shopping experience; use handheld technology for production, ordering, receiving club pickup orders, training, and product quality with the member in mind; adapt to new tools and encourage others to use them.

Be an Owner: Drive area performance; stock and rotate merchandise; ensure quality and date control standards; eliminate waste; provide member service by acknowledging needs and assisting with purchasing decisions and issues.

Be a Talent Ambassador: Act as a brand advocate; develop and inspire others to work in a respectful, supportive, team-oriented style; identify roadblocks and assist in training.

Comply with company policies, procedures, and ethics; apply Open Door Policy and integrate these in business processes.

Complete work assignments by using policies, data, and resources; collaborate with managers, coworkers, customers, and partners; set priorities and deadlines; communicate progress; identify opportunities for improvement; adapt to change and feedback.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications: Must be 18 years of age or older.

Preferred Qualifications: Food Service; Food Handler Certification (Food Safety).
