Project Manager (Site Utilities, External Infrastructure Undergrounds) – US, Illinois – 9 Month Contract
This is a fantastic opportunity for a Project Manager (Site Utilities, External Infrastructure Undergrounds) to join our major, global pharmaceutical client on their latest new-build project based in Illinois, this is a large-scale greenfield capital project and investing more than $1bn.
What You’ll Do
The Project Manager will support the Program Director in leading the delivery of the overall project, working closely with Project Technical Leads, Area Leads and Subject Matter Experts to deliver the project.
Provide leadership and be accountable for delivering the project according to approved scope, schedule, and cost plans. Interface with other disciplines and stakeholders to ensure the project meets business needs.
Provide leadership and be accountable for the site safety program.
Provide required project communications for their specific scope of work.
Ensure project is delivered in a manner compliant with the overall program expectations.
Plan, monitor and control project activities for the area(s) involved, and report progress against plan.
What you’ll need:
Previous experience in the delivery of large capital projects in the Life Sciences industry.
Proficiency in commonly used project management tools (scheduling-P6/MS Project, metrics, risk management) and MS Office (Word, Excel, Powerpoint)
Excellent teamwork abilities and willingness to take on responsibilities beyond the traditional project manager role.
Ability to multitask and prioritize a variety of tasks within a short timeframe.
Proven knowledge of GMP’s, regulatory requirements, and commissioning, qualification, validation (CQV) practices.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills for both technical and non-technical audience.
