Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) – Montana

About the Role We are hiring compassionate, motivated EMT-Basics to join our EMS team in Montana. In this role, you will deliver high-quality Basic Life Support (BLS) care, respond to emergency and non-emergency calls, and support Paramedics during critical patient care situations. What You’ll Do Provide fast, effective Basic Life Support for critically ill and injured patients Perform patient assessments and assist Paramedics with advanced interventions Manage airway support, bleeding control, splinting, CPR, and AED use Anticipate and respond to life-threatening situations using established protocols Transport patients safely to medical facilities Operate emergency vehicles safely in all weather/road conditions Complete electronic patient care reports accurately and promptly Maintain equipment, ambulances, and station facilities Work professionally with hospitals, first responders, law enforcement, and the public Represent the agency with professionalism, integrity, and excellent patient care standards

Qualifications Completion of an approved EMT-Basic training program (DOT-standard or higher) Current National Registry EMT (NREMT) and Montana EMT license (or ability to obtain) Current CPR/BLS certification ICS 100, ICS 200, ICS 700, and Hazmat Awareness certifications Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record (5-year history) Commitment to continuing education and maintaining EMS credentials

Physical Requirements Ability to lift/carry patients and equipment in varied environments Ability to work in challenging terrain (rocky, steep, slippery, and uneven surfaces) Ability to safely extricate patients from vehicles/structures Must be able to see, hear, communicate clearly, and perform physical patient assessments
