Schedule:
Full Time / Part Time / PRN The role you’ll contribute: The Vascular Ultrasound Technologist performs a wide range of Sonography and Vascular Sonography procedures, contributing to the delivery of high-quality diagnostic information for the treatment and prognosis of vascular disorders and other medical conditions. This role operates at a technical level, conducting ultrasound procedures across a broad spectrum of patient ages, from neonatal through geriatric, ensuring high-quality exams for interpretation by medical professionals. The Vascular Ultrasound Technologist assists physicians with interventional procedures, employing ultrasound as a guidance tool where necessary. The value you’ll bring to the team: Exam Supervision and Administration: Consistently obtains the highest quality scans possible in relation to patient body habitus and/or NPO prep status. Diagnostic Image Quality and Documentation: Reviews all images on ultrasound machine or Web and thoroughly fills out Ultrasound worksheet in a timely manner. Personal Productivity and Accountability: Completes exams in a timely manner. Properly and consistently evaluates patient prep status and schedules exam accordingly. Data Processing: Utilizes computer system to update exam status, cancel/update orders as needed. Safety and the Environment of Care: Operates and maintains ultrasound equipment in a safe manner. Adheres to all infection control standards. Qualifications The expertise and experiences you’ll need to succeed: Graduate of Ultrasound Program BCLS - Basic Life Support ARDMS - Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonography or ARRT - American Registry of Radiologic Technologists or CCI - Cardiovascular Credentialing International or RDMS - Registered Diagnostic Med or RDMS-OB - Registered Diagnostic Med Sonographer-Ob or RVT - Registered Vascular Technologist or RVS - Registered Vascular Sonographer Preferred qualifications: Graduate of Vascular Ultrasound Program Associate or Bachelor’s degree in healthcare-related field Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer RDMS (BR) OR American Registry of Radiologic Technologies RT(BS)
