Community you'll be caring for AdventHealth Ambulatory Service

When you join our team of over 45 Outpatient Clinics across Central Florida, you will be part of a winning team of experts dedicated to whole-person care to help our patients heal, strengthen and renew. We serve patients Orange, Seminole, Osceola, Polk, Volusia, Flagler and Lake Counties with a dedicated Team of therapists, clinicians and staff willing to carry on AdventHealth’s mission in the communities we serve.

As a Speech Pathologist in an outpatient setting you will provide professional direct and indirect services to specific age groups in the outpatient rehabilitation settings. Utilizes process improvement in achieving the goals of the Sports Med and Rehab Department. Accept the responsibility to practice autonomously and collaboratively in all practice environments to provide best practice to the patient/client. Autonomous practice is characterized by independent, self-determined, professional judgment and action.

The role you’ll contribute: The Speech Language Pathologist evaluates and treats patients as medically prescribed, in a professional manner and within hospital standards, adhering to the corporate compliance plan and all rules and regulations of all applicable local, state, and federal agencies, and accrediting bodies.

Assesses patients' speech, language, cognitive-communication, and swallowing abilities using standardized tests and clinical observations.

Develops individualized treatment plans based on assessment results and patient needs.

Monitors patient progress and adjusts treatment plans as necessary.

Discharges patients when maximum benefit has been achieved.

Qualifications

Basic Life Support - CPR Cert (BLS) Required

Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) Required or

Speech Lang Pathologist-Temp (SLP-TEMP) Required
