Our client is a well-established, innovation-driven manufacturer specializing in high-performance chemical products for industrial and commercial applications. The role offers a salary of $85-110K plus profit share, full benefits (medical, dental, vision, life, 401K), and some remote work after 6 months. Note that this position does not offer relocation assistance and is only open to U.S. citizens or green card holders. Job Summary

This role involves independent research, formulation, and testing of chemical products, such as inks, coatings, or related compounds. The position is highly hands-on, requiring extensive laboratory work as well as coordination with cross-functional teams to support both new and existing product lines. Key Responsibilities

Develop and formulate new chemical products aligned with organizational goals. Collaborate with internal stakeholders to meet target specifications for cost, color, and performance. Manage development projects from concept to production, including documentation and milestone tracking. Conduct technical research to understand new product applications and use cases. Troubleshoot and resolve production issues involving chemical formulations. Scale lab-developed formulas to manufacturing quantities in partnership with production teams. Respond to customer inquiries and provide technical support when needed. Analyze chemical compounds for properties and behavior to guide development decisions. Improve existing formulations through iterative testing and innovation. Establish and maintain formulation standards and process documentation. Maintain detailed lab notebooks and generate technical reports and presentations. Deliver training and product knowledge to both internal teams and external clients. Qualifications

Education:

Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry or a related scientific field preferred. Experience:

5-10 years of experience in formulation development, ideally in inks, paints, or coatings. Technical Skills:

Proficiency with lab equipment such as viscometers, spectrophotometers, and pH meters. Familiarity with Microsoft Office; project management software experience is a plus. Math and Analytical Skills:

Strong quantitative skills including proportions, percentages, and graphing. Ability to follow complex instructions and troubleshoot multi-variable problems. Problem-solving and analytical thinking.
